My Brother Nathan
Nathan was different.
Probably the only one on the wet-most ride at Canobie wearing a poncho
It is sad knowing he had to get off life’s roller coaster, he loved them so much
But that was Nathan
He loved his Ice Cream
Always loved Bickfords’ double chocolate pancakes with ice cream on top
He had to ask for the five-scoop at Friendly’s and he’d eat it all
Because that was Nathan
Did you know there were more words to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star?
And how many times a day he sang Mr. Sun when he was little?
He knew them all
And that was Nathan
He had a child-like soul
He took a stuffed animal to summer camp in boy scouts
At 19 he still wanted to play hide-and-go-seek, it was weird maybe
But that was Nathan
He knew so much technology
Who knew what he talked about half the time?
He was young when he started building computers
And if anyone could find a way to send e-mail from heaven,
it would be Nathan
The outdoors were his safe haven
The only one I knew to make grass angels
And on his last day he ran into the sunset, literally
And fell asleep on an outstretched tree over the lake to watch it
He never thought the calm waters would take him
Because he was, and always will be, my brother Nathan

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky!
When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,
Twinkle, twinkle, all the night.
Then the traveler in the dark,
Thanks you for your tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go,
If you did not twinkle so.
In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye,
Till the sun is in the sky.
As your bright and tiny spark,
Lights the traveller in the dark,—
Though I know not what you are,
Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
Just a token of love and remembrance to one we shall never forget.
Sadly missed by family
and friends
